Event Photography
Project details
What we need
- A photographer who will attend the Organization's event to take photos
- A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in a digital format suitable for web or print use
- Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense
Additional details
We have a few dates coming up for the young people in our orchestra: December 11 from 4-6:30pm; January 21 from 4-7pm; March 16 from 5-8pm. We also have a preschool program and would welcome a photographer who could come nearly any weekday morning.
What we have in place
- We currently have young urban string players, beautiful venues, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have photo releases, previous materials to show you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,998 , allowing us to share the classroom and performance experience with a wider variety of supporters than the circle who are able to come to our gala, or otherwise meet the kids in person.
Telling our story with pictures is key. Everyone loves our intensive, pro-social, afterschool orchestra for urban kids. (But have you ever heard beginning string players? Video, and audio recording aren't as descriptive or compelling!) We have beautiful kids, and the sight of them earnestly playing their instruments, and being appreciated by a warm and supportive audience, does more to thank our donors, and encourage community involvement, than any words I can spin out. And I do a lot of word-spinning.
Project plan
Our mission
We empower young people as teams of musicians, providing an environment of abundance and high expectations, and enriching our community through the joyful pursuit of excellent together.
We seek to uphold and strengthen the promising elements already present in their lives: the network of caring parents and teachers, and the desire to develop skills that make them an asset to their school communities. To this we add proven curricula, access to musical instruments, the opportunity for the children to travel outside of their local environment, and instruction at no cost to children and families, provided by professional teaching artists.
What we do
Trenton Music Makers orchestra, meeting five days a week after school; Trenton Children's Chorus, meeting twice per week after school; Music for the Very Young, providing music class, teacher mentorship, and family engagement in Trenton's public preschools. With us, music is a platform for social development.
