Project details

What we need
  • A review of Organization's communications goals and target audiences
  • Identification of appropriate timeline and implementation approach based on goals and audience
  • Messaging guidelines (with examples) based on audience and delivery methods
  • Outline of necessary steps for implementation
Additional details

Organization will be celebrating our 30th anniversary next year and we plan to launch a new fundraising initiative around it, commemorating our founders. We need a strong communications strategy that will appeal to a number of diverse constituents: older alumni, recent alumni, allies, donors.

What we have so far is a bit confusing and we do not have experience in rolling out a communications strategy.

Preferably we would like to work with a communications professional with experience in any of the following: leadership development, fundraising/ capacity development, social justice movements, wellness/ healing.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Twitter account, Facebook page w/ 680 followers, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have many photos, previous messaging, new language templates, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to Powerfully celebrate our 30th anniversary, connect with over 500 alumni, and inspire donors to support us in the future.

Our organization has remained small for a long time. Given the times we live in, our work is more needed than ever. We need to build up our organizational capacity to be able to deliver more programming and we need better communications strategies to attract the funding we need for this growth.

It is an exciting moment for the organization to celebrate 30 years of deep and meaningful history and position itself in fresh new ways to usher in the next 30 years.

Staying Power provides ongoing practice and learning for individuals and organizations, rooted in the nine transformative elements Windcall employs to promote resilience and sustainability. The leaders fronting today's movements are looking for healing and how to sustain for the long-haul in the face of trauma-inducing aggressions from this political system bent on violence.
