Salesforce Database Customization
Salesforce Database Customization
Project details
What we need
- A Salesforce database including: a customized set of Salesforce objects, single-record editing of data and field history tracking (up to 15 object types), a customized set of views to allow table-based editing of data (up to 15 views), a customized set of reports to pull data from multiple object types (up to 15 reports)
- Migration of Organization's current database to Salesforce
- Training for designated staff member on new objects, reports and views
- “Hand-off” documentation on the object schemas and any custom code
Additional details
We currently have a Salesforce database that needs updates and clean up. We need good reports to show us what contacts we have, we need to clean up old user logins, we need to create good lists for integration with email platform. We are not clear on what Salesforce objects are.
We also need a systems review to see if Mailchimp is the best email platform option for us. If not, what are other options. We have problems in how MC and SFDC share contact updates.
What we have in place
- We currently have SFDC, MailChimp, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have several reports created, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $22,852 , allowing us to Facilitate 2 daylong trainings for 50 organizers each to identify trauma, learn resilience practices, and engage in creative exercises to envision new possibilities.
Windcall is a national organization with over 500 alumni and thousands of supporters and donors. It is imperative for us to have a strong Salesforce database that can give us accurate information and that we learn how to use to create lists and reports needed to communicate with these constituents.
We have not been able to communicate effectively for over a year due to glitches with Salesforce and email platforms. With our 30th anniversary next year, it is crucial we have the tools necessary to reach our various constituents.
Project plan
Our mission
Windcall is dedicated to developing transformative learning and resilient leadership among community and labor organizers engaged in social justice for low-income and communities of color. Our flagship three-week Residencies and one-week Mindful Breathers cultivate spaciousness for self-exploration of transformative healing practices and reflection. Staying Power provides ongoing practice and learning for individuals and organizations, rooted in the nine transformative elements Windcall employs to promote resilience and sustainability. The leaders fronting today's movements are looking for healing and how to sustain for the long-haul in the face of trauma-inducing aggressions from this political system bent on violence.
