Annual Report Writing
Annual Report Writing
Project details
What we need
- Clear and effective copy for an annual report that illustrates the Organization’s successes and plans for growth (e.g., descriptions of programs, allocation of funds, and recognition of donors and volunteers)
- Blueprint of the structure for the annual report, including optimal content, length, and style
What we have in place
- We currently have lots of written materials and a great social media presence, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a newly-minted strategic plan, survey data, lots of photos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,023 , allowing us to maintain our elementary school garden programs for an entire year, teaching over 2,000 kids to grow their own fresh veggies an eat them in the school cafeteria.
Since we were founded in 2010, we have grown from a one-person operation with a $6k budget to an 8-person team with a $300k budget that serves thousands of participants locally and regionally. While we remain scrappy and grassroots, we are also at a point in our development where we need to clearly and professionally articulate our impact to the public and to current and potential donors if we're going to keep growing. An annual report is a missing link in our communications materials and we are excited to produce our first one!
Project plan
Our mission
Backyard Growers (BYG) is a grassroots initiative helping to reshape Gloucester’s relationship with food. We begin by providing resources and support to establish vegetable gardens in homes and schools. In the end we create life-long gardeners inspired by the power of growing one’s own food.
