What we need
  • Analysis of the Organization’s current needs, long-term goals, programs, competitive standing and resources
  • Recommendations for an appropriate course of action to reach the desired objectives, including allocation of resources and how to measure success
  • Plan outlining the resources and steps required to reach short- and long-term goals
Additional details

It would be nice to have an advisor who is familiar with small arts organizations and their structure and challenges.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a strategic plan in place and an engaged board and staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have past budgets and program statistics as well as support from the NJ Theatre Alliance, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,240 , allowing us to have the benefit of professional advice instead of working only internally on the project. The money that we save will go directly to our programming and services to our audiences.

We are about to create a new 3-year Strategic Plan for the organization, which is in the midst of making several changes to our staff and marketing strategy. On the horizon may be a change of location, as well as new partnerships with other organizations. Guidance in focusing our priorities and designing a workable plan for both board and staff would be helpful so that we can plan clear action steps going forward.

  • Professional analyzes prep materials
  • Professional brainstorms with Volunteer Manager to better understand services, programs, activities, staffing and finances
  • Professional explores possibilities for new efforts, identifies opportunities, determines where change is possible and adjusts plans

  • Professional refines the Organization’s mission, vision and values (if necessary)
  • Professional proposes strategic goals and objectives with tactics to reach those goals
  • Professional provides evidence of success of the proposed strategies and ways to measure the outcomes
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback to Professional's proposals
