What we have in place
- We have an existing strategic plan that ran through 2017 that should serve as a launching point for new plan.
We have an engaged and committed Board and staff, experienced in planning and in working with consultants, as well as a diverse constituency also eager to take part in a planning process.
How this will help
This project will save us $12,550 , allowing us to develop new collaborative initiatives with local high schools and to expand our community engagement activities.
The project will help focus the use of resources and energy related to HG's mission of leading a 16 member consortium and also lay-out a clear plan for management of the Germantown Historical Society related programming which is under HG's 501c3.
It also help prioritize several possible major collaborative program/funding initiatives in relation to our ongoing core program and communications work.
The process will engage staff, board, member sites, community and civic leaders, members and donors.

Our mission
Historic Germantown is a consortium of 16 cultural, natural, and historic sites located in Northwest Philadelphia.
it's mission is to foster an appreciation of the diverse character and meaning of our cultural heritage in order to revitalize our community. To this end we provide knowledge and resources to help preserve Germantown's historic sites, interpret them to the public and incorporate them into the life of the community.
