Project details

What we need
  • 3-5 one hour strategy sessions covering topics like potential volunteer market, timeline, strategies for outreach and recommendations for implementation (potential risks, possible management tools, etc.)
  • A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
  • A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing your strategy.
Additional details

We need an annual plan for volunteer recruitment, management, training and recognition. We especially want to ensure a diverse pool of volunteer mediators with language proficiency in Spanish, Hmong, and Somali. A volunteer management data base system would be helpful. Last, we'd prefer a volunteer who is located in the Twin Cities area, so we can engage in-person.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a somewhat updated list of our volunteers on an excel doc., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a solid group of dedicated volunteers to work with, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,866 , allowing us to purchase better case development software and pay staff to help DRC run more efficiently and effectively.

Volunteers are the backbone of the work we do. As a community mediation program, all of our mediators are volunteers so finding opportunities to engage and keep track of them, and especially their training background is central to our success.
