Project details
What we need
- A photographer who will work with the Organization over 1-2 days to capture an important event or shoot a series of photographs to tell the Organization's story
- A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in JPEG or TIFF format suitable for web or print use
- Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense
What we have in place
- We currently have the messages and the men, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a media group working on developing the facebook ads, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to grow this initiative and campaign to reach more men. The goal is to ignite cultural shift from violence to community centered hearts.
GCADV is launching a new Men in the Movement initiative that is an off shoot of our "We Begins With Me" campaign. We have developed radio PSA's with another catchafire volunteer which will be read by 10 influential men of Atlanta. We need a videographer to capture the recording sessions so we can also put this campaign on our social media platforms.
Project plan
Our mission
Collaborate. Advocate. Educate. Empower.
We empower survivors and the programs that serve them, we educate the public, and we advocate for responsive public policy. Our strength is in numbers, as we collaborate throughout Georgia to stop domestic violence.
What we do
The Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (GCADV) is Georgia's federally recognized domestic violence coalition, representing over 53 domestic violence organizations and programs across the state. We engage in capacity building, communications, and public policy efforts to ensure effective domestic violence prevention and intervention. GCADV and its members and allies work collaboratively, along with community, corporate, and foundation partners, to achieve social and systems change on behalf of domestic violence survivors and their families. Every day we motivate, inform, and connect with stakeholders concerned with this issue. No one organization offers all of the solutions, and we believe that by coming together with a wide range of partners and creating new approaches, we can ensure that survivors are safe and empowered and healthy relationships are nurtured.
