Many smaller community-based NGOs in East Africa do outstanding work in health education and socio-economic development but their potential is limited by funding and capacity They are reliant on international organisations who don't partner with them to deliver sustainable impact and send volunteers lacking the right attitudes/skills.
Similarly there are many volunteers who are equally frustrated by the so called 'voluntourism' provided by international volunteering organisations They want to make a real lasting impact to communities and people in need through matching their skills to the right NGOs and community based programs.
Our focus is empowering NGOs and volunteers to create real impact in communities by understanding their real needs and through real partnership
Our Purpose is to 'empower volunteers and NGOs to change our communities for good' and our vision is that 'every community in East Africa is not just surviving, but thriving in the world'.
