Social Media Plan
Social Media Plan
Project details
What we need
- A document outlining the most appropriate social media channels, strategies for usage, goals and key metrics to evaluate success
- Expert consultation on messaging, scheduling and frequency
- Tailored suggestions for style, tone, and types of content to best showcase the Organization
Additional details
Looking ahead we would love to bring on a social media intern in the future, though I know we have to have a good social presence and strategy in place before we can hand any part of our social media work off to an intern. If there is time to discuss how we can be prepared to support an intern project of this nature that would be wonderfully helpful!
What we have in place
- We currently have a Facebook account with about 100 followers, and Instagram and Twitter accounts with about 200 followers each. We use Buffer to help prepare social media posts in advance. Since our members provide us with pictures of their programs in action we have fantastic pictures of kids participating in sports programs from basketball and soccer to ultimate frisbee and equestrian!
How this will help
This project will save us $6,632 , allowing us to instead provide funding to pilot after-school sports this fall in two community schools for 4th-8th graders.
We are experiencing rapid growth in the types of projects we can take on, yet most likely will not add social media staff for some time. Social media is critical to establishing our brand and reputation, and becoming a source that Philadelphia families can trust. I am excited to dedicate time to improving our social media strategy, instead of aimlessly making noise. With your help we can develop a thoughtful and impactful online presence that reflects the thoughtful and impactful behind-the-scenes work we have been doing for years.

Our mission
PYSC's mission is to dramatically enhance the capacity of youth-serving organizations in Philadelphia to provide high quality, sports-based youth development programs to children in every community.
What we do
We support the sports-based youth development (SBYD) community at all levels, from providing trainings to SBYD coaches, organizational support to SBYD nonprofits, and establishing collaborations between the public and private sector for funding, pilot programs, and opportunities within the local government and school district.
