How This Will Help

This project will ultimately help SUMMECH tell our story and increase donor support in our efforts in the preservation of affordable housing. We serve as a leader in community development initiatives that build economically sustainable neighborhoods in Mechanicsville and the State of Georgia. SUMMECH provides affordable housing to low and moderate-income families, who are at or below 80% of AMI. Home buying and financial literacy programs are offered to give everyone the opportunity of quality life.

Fun Fact

SUMMECH's developments have provided the fuel for the promise of neighborhood transformation and have culminated the development of over 1400 housing units independently and in partnership with for-profit developers. As a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency, over 1600 individuals have completed our Homebuyer Education and Financial Literacy Classes.

  • Requirements: This project requires a short interview with the organization. If your application is accepted, you'll receive an email from Catchafire with instructions to schedule a call.

    • Professional writes copy aligned with Volunteer Manager's style, tone, clarity, and length

    • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss any small edits; Professional submits final version
