Project details

What we need
  • Grant Template outlining the Organization’s mission, strategic plan, activities and budget
  • Tips and suggestions on customizing Grant Template for specific grants
Additional details

We would like the volunteer to have professional experience with writing grants.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a program budget and description, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a mission state for the organization, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $14,140 , allowing us to jump start the grant process.

We are in the process of applying for a number of program grants to cover the cost of our one day events around the state. We are applying to foundations, banks and corporate social responsibility grants. We want to be able to put our "best foot forward" to help us maximize the possibility of securing future funds.

Our mission

The mission of Random Hacks of Kindness Junior, Inc. (RHoKJr) is to empower students to use technology to positively impact the challenges facing local nonprofits in their communities. We do this by hosting one-day hackathons around the state where 4th-8th grader are paired with computer science mentors and nonprofit representatives to develop prototype smartphone apps for local charities. Using an MIT developed coding tool students will learn the basics of app design, as well as the ideation and brainstorming process required to build a successful prototype mobile application. All students regardless of their computing background are welcome.

Testimonials

Cheryll-Ann did a wonderful job helping me organize my information into a clear concise grant template. I was then able to successfully use the template to apply for a variety of grants, which in turn helped me receive close to $6,000 in funds.
