This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to Promote women in STEM in Africa.

What We Need

  • Creation of an email marketing campaign (a series of up to four emails) from scratch, or an overhaul of an existing campaign, in an established email marketing service, such as: Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Training on how to successfully update, send and monitor an email marketing campaign

How This Will Help

The success of our organization depends on Reaching and engaging other academics to act. Without your help, we cannot Ensure our best chance of action - a response. Your skills will empower us to Communicate more effectively and efficiently by email.

We currently have An 2 page outline of our concept which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Connections to begin networking and the ability to provide any other information you need.

Project Steps

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager distributes key information to Professional, including purpose of the campaign, target audience, and existing email marketing practices (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager distributes all relevant materials such as logo, images, organizational history, brand messaging, and visual brand identity
Milestone 1: Analysis and Recommendations
  • Professional provides initial suggestions, including a suggested email format and web-host (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact)
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback and shares content for the campaign, including photos, hyperlinks, and/or articles
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss timeline for creation and align expectations
Milestone 2: Draft Email Marketing Campaign
  • Professional delivers first draft
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback, which is incorporated
Milestone 3: Wrap-up and Learning
  • Professional delivers final draft
  • Professional trains selected staff member on how to implement and monitor the campaign, including: editing the content, scheduling the emails, creating and segmenting a list of recipients, and monitoring campaign progress
Prerequisites for Professional
  • Experience with commonly accessible email marketing software
  • Experience in creating and maintaining email lists
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
Prerequisites for Organization
  • Dedicated staff member to sustain the regular production and distribution of your email marketing campaign
  • Email distribution list
  • Designated purpose and target audience for a campaign
  • Note: If graphic design is needed, you should have your own resource or plan to engage a Catchafire design professional
