Brand Messaging
Brand Messaging
Project details
What we need
- Document that articulates in a consistent voice key messages about the Organization’s identity, constituents, mission, and vision
- Creation of taglines and talking points to help the Organization communicate clearly and concisely
- Recommendations on tailoring messaging for common communication channels (e.g., website copy, printed marketing collateral, pitching verbally)
What we have in place
- We currently have a branding and marketing guide from 2014, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data analytics on our social media and websites, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,600 , allowing us to direct our funds to client services, including educating new homeowners, bringing new businesses to the area, supporting resident initiatives, and building affordable housing for the regions most vulnerable.
Building strong, cohesive communications for our organization is integral to our success as a multifaceted community building nonprofit. Over the years, our many initiatives have been segmented into different identities, diluting our brand and causing confusion about our work internally and externally. A brand assessment will help us understand our perception among our donors and the public, create dynamic organizational messaging, and allow us to more effectively reach our constituents. This will be the first step in a comprehensive rebranding strategy that will equip us to more effectively connect with and empower our community.

Our mission
NKCDC advances social equity & economic empowerment by nurturing and creating opportunities for residents to live and actively shape their neighborhoods of choice.
What we do
New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) provides free housing counseling to anyone in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and offers many additional resources to residents and businesses in the Kensington, Fishtown, and Port Richmond neighborhoods.
We use a strategic combination of real estate development, community engagement, and people-centered direct services to ensure all of our neighbors can remain--and thrive--where they choose to live.
