Earned Income Plan
Earned Income Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment and recommendations for income-generating activities that will complement the Organization's current mission and existing programs
- Actionable steps necessary to implement recommendations, alongside estimates of upfront time and monetary investment required
- Challenges and potential risks identified in pursuing the plan
What we have in place
- We currently have data from past event-related giving, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have descriptions of the past two years' programs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,794 , allowing us to dedicate limited staff time to programming strategy, fundraising, and evaluation, as well as growth strategies for the future.
Identifying income-generating activities will help support core operating costs, as well as helping to make the case to our parent institution that we have the capacity, both in dollar support and in participation, to sustain our programs.

Our mission
With a front door on historic Cooper Street, the Writers House provides a welcoming space for the campus and community to celebrate writing across diverse disciplines, communities, and media.
Writers House programming is always open to both the Rutgers community and the general public: reading series Writers in Camden, Cooper Street Workshops, and our unique menu of interdisciplinary programs unite artists, scholars, students and citizens around the power of the written word.
