I'd like to brainstorm ideas for creating a strong sense of team for a group that will only meet in-person once in August and then be spread out around the country the rest of the year.
This group will be comprised of both staff and volunteers so I would like to create a large sense of team, but also a subset of team bonding just within the staff and then also just within the volunteers.
The American Cancer Society's mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Our Global Headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia, and we have regional and local offices throughout the country to ensure we have a presence in every community. While most people know us for our research, we do so much more. We attack cancer from every angle. We promote healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer. We research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatments. We fight for lifesaving policy changes. We provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. And we do it all 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Zsuzsanna reached out to me prior to our call to get additional information about the meeting/group I had requested the consult for, which I appreciated and showed her dedication to providing me with a consult that would really fit my needs. I was very much appreciated that she tailored her advice and information to the specific audience age I had mentioned I will be working with to explore ways that I can help this group really gain a sense of team. While I got several specific ideas to implement into my meeting planning, I also got fantastic inspiration from Zsuzanna's advice on the most effective mindset to have during my planning and formation of this meeting to create a lasting impact on my participants. I definitely felt that my time with Zsuzanna was well spent!
