Project details

What we need
  • Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
  • Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
What we have in place
  • We currently have some previous campaign & generic translated materials, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have Spanish speakers who can review and troubleshoot with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,998 , allowing us to send teams of 5 organizers on three one-week trips and involve people who environmentalists don't usually engage face-to-face and have them contact their elected officials in their own words.

Our door-to-door organizers meet folks who are primarily Spanish-speakers on a regular basis. Help us create compelling materials so that even our organizers who have limited Spanish can communicate with Spanish speakers about our campaigns to clean up toxic waste sites across Texas. These will be used on paper and on tablets 5 nights a week, 52 weeks a year. Help us include more people in our hard-hitting issue organizing. in Texas - the belly of the environmental beast.

Our mission

Texas Campaign for the Environment Fund's mission is to engage people and communities through face-to-face public education, grassroots organizing and action-oriented research for a cleaner and healthier Texas.

What we do

We works towards a Texas free from pollution. Recently, our focus has been on waste and recycling issues. We have championed Zero Waste policies and programs, assisted neighbors of problem waste facilities and provided strategic planning and organizing assistance to people in communities with proposed or existing polluting facilities. We are also working on Superfund toxic waste sites to promote clean up efforts to protect public health.

Testimonials

Translation Project

It was a great and fulfilling experience working with Texas Campaign for the Environment Fund. Robin was very easy to communicate with and very helpful in providing resources as well as a reviewer to check the final translated documents. It was a pleasure collaborating with an organization that works so hard in addressing Texas toxic sites risks for the environment and for its people. Thank you for the opportunity!
