How this will help
This project will save us $5,566 , allowing us to channel our resources into restoring California rivers.
River Partners is celebrating 20 years of bringing life back to California rivers! Our website is our most important public communications tool for telling our story. The web audit is an essential first step in redesigning our site to impress political decision-makers, funders, and the communities where we work. The project will help increase donors and scale up our work to restore rivers across California.
Project plan
Our mission
River Partners mission is to create wildlife habitat for the benefit of people and the environment.
We envision thriving rivers and floodplains that sustain abundant wildlife, support productive farmland, preserve freshwater resources, enhance surrounding communities and serve as the first line of ecological defense in a changing climate.
What we do
California rivers have lost 95% of their historic native forest floodplains. Even at 5% of their former footprint, river ecosystems support greater biodiversity and more endangered and threatened species than any other habitat in California, the nation's most populous state.
River Partners re-wilds California rivers by acquiring, restoring and protecting riparian ecosystems on a large scale. Our work entails purchasing riparian agricultural and dairy lands, retiring operations, and restoring floodplain forest habitat on a large scale.
River Partners projects comprise 358 projects on 13 rivers in California to date. Our hallmarks are our extensive partner network, entrepreneurial practices, and on-the-ground execution of large-scale projects in a complex and challenging regulatory environment.
