Our division administers the federal funding that comes into the City from HUD. We are responsible for several community services that benefit low-income areas. For direct service we sell affordable housing, fund housing rehabilitation and provide relocation services to people who have to leave their homes. For indirect service we fund nonprofit groups and developers in areas like affordable housing, senior services, youth services, homelessness relief and more. We want to build a website that works for everyone that uses our services. From large nonprofits to individuals everyone should be able to find what they're looking for from us.
To strengthen the community through our funding resources and opportunities on an annual basis.
The Division of Community Development works in partnership with a wide range of public agencies, non-profit organizations, and developers to provide vital community programs and develop affordable housing opportunities. The Division is responsible for administering federal grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The Division also assists in managing the City of Jersey City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund and plays a key role in the Mayor’s Quality of Life Task Force
Cyril was of great assistance in helping us rethink and reorganize our website layout and structure. He had a systematic approach that helped us focus on who we wanted to reach, what we wanted them to see and how to make it happen.
