Project details

What we need
  • Grant Template outlining the Organization’s mission, strategic plan, activities and budget
  • Tips and suggestions on customizing Grant Template for specific grants
What we have in place
  • We currently have past grant template samples and recent submitted grants, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have list of prospective funders and past funders for context, along with a dedicated intern, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,140 , allowing us to Put critical resources toward our student leaders and programs.

With an active grant submission team at GSE, we're looking at tightening and refining the work we submit to make sure we have a higher award rate and remain competitive, as well as find a template that we can reference and repackage for multiple grants as a baseline to apply from. We look forward to having the expertise of a Catchafire volunteer to help us make our grants more compelling and bring more support to our cause.

Our mission

Global Student Embassy is an international youth leadership program that connects students from the US and Latin America to work together towards positive community and environmental change. Global Student Embassy's mission is to empower young leaders to become environmental stewards, social innovators, and community leaders. In collaboration with international peers, students generate and implement powerful community-based solutions to shared ecological concerns.

What we do

In Northern California, Nicaragua and Ecuador, GSE runs Eco-Action programs that provide hands-on learning opportunities during in-school and after-school programs.

GSE believes that through academic enrichment, ecological project development, and cross-cultural collaboration, students will:
• Build local networks that steward the transition to community and food system sustainability
• Increase the volume of local, organic food grown and made accessible to communities in need
• Accelerate local ecological restoration
• Understand local environmental threats—and responsibilities—are consistent worldwide
• Experience international grassroots network-building of advocates for environmental change
• Build leadership, relationship, technical, and global citizenship skills relevant to high school, university, and career settings
