Our mission

Grameen America is dedicated to helping women who live in poverty build small businesses. We offer microloans, training and support to empower women entrepreneurs across the country.

What we do

Grameen America is a nonprofit microfinance organization with a proven national solution to advance financial inclusion for low-income women in the United States. We provide small loans to entrepreneurial women to help them build businesses, achieve higher family incomes and provide jobs in their local communities. Since 2008, we have expanded to 27 branches across twenty cities and have disbursed over $2 billion to over 140,000 women. Our members are building businesses, creating jobs, and repaying their loans at a rate of 99%.
