What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
What we have in place
  • We currently have a designer in house who you can coordinate with, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have specs for buff designs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to allowing us to invest more $$ to protect wild salmon and their home rivers. It's projects like these that really help us amplify our fundraising efforts!.

Wild Salmon Center is looking for someone to create a custom design we can use for a Buff.

We're looking for a buff design that has an illustration of a bear's face with a sockeye salmon hanging in it's mouth. Preferably oriented on the buff so that when you pull it up to cover your face the bear's mouth appears.

We would use this product to help fundraise for our work to protect Bristol Bay in Alaska, the world's most iconic salmon stronghold.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Our mission

Wild Salmon Center is the leading group working to protect the strongest wild salmon rivers around the entire North Pacific.

What we do

We work from northern California and the Pacific Northwest, up to British Columbia and Alaska and across to Russia and Japan.

We focus on salmon because they are an iconic and powerful conservation symbol, wild to the core, with an incredible life story. When you protect salmon, you protect a whole watershed and everything in it, including people.

We target salmon strongholds --the richest, strongest salmon rivers in the Pacific--because it's easier to protect rivers while they are still healthy and thriving.
