Project details
What we need
- A photographer who will work with the Organization over 1-2 days to capture an important event or shoot a series of photographs to tell the Organization's story
- A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in JPEG or TIFF format suitable for web or print use
- Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense
What we have in place
- We currently have a list of desired images and a group of volunteers, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a digital team member ready to staff and work with you every step of the way, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to capture the imagery we need to run more effective legislative campaigns and to convince lawmakers to pass laws that help fight cancer.
We need a talented photographer to volunteer with us on Friday May 4 2018 in Baltimore.
At the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network we are fighting cancer by convincing election officials to pass laws that can help us eliminate suffering and death from cancer.
To maximize engagement of volunteers we need strong imagery to include in our digital campaigns - including email, social media and website As a volunteer-based organization fighting a disease that impacts so many our imagery needs to focus on the actions and emotions of individuals and small groups of people.
Project plan
Our mission
The work of the Cancer Control department focuses on applying known interventions such as reducing tobacco use and increasing screening rates to save lives, as well as improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their families. The organizing principle of the Cancer Control program is directed at achieving health equity by creating healthier communities, helping to shape a more effective health care delivery system, and empowering people to live a cancer-free life, or their best life with cancer.
What we do
The American Cancer Society was created more than 100 years ago for one purpose – to liberate the world from the threat of cancer. We are advocates, researchers, volunteers, caregivers, survivors, patients, and donors. Together, we are a united force against all cancers. We are an organization of 2.5 million strong. From prevention to diagnosis, from treatment to recovery, we’re here every step of the way. Our vision is a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer. Our purpose is to achieve it.
