Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
  • We currently have Pictures, testimonials, and videos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a website and social media platforms, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to raise money and also our profile, hopefully encouraging more participation in our programs and possibly volunteers for our organization.

I would like some compelling stories (written, pictures and video) for an upcoming fundraising campaign.

Our mission

The mission of Random Hacks of Kindness Junior, Inc. (RHoKJr) is to empower students to use technology to positively impact the challenges facing local nonprofits in their communities. We do this by hosting one-day hackathons around the state where 4th-8th grader are paired with computer science mentors and nonprofit representatives to develop prototype smartphone apps for local charities. Using an MIT developed coding tool students will learn the basics of app design, as well as the ideation and brainstorming process required to build a successful prototype mobile application. All students regardless of their computing background are welcome.
