Project details
What we need
- A photographer who will work with the Organization over 1-2 days to capture an important event or shoot a series of photographs to tell the Organization's story
- A set of professionally edited, high-resolution images delivered in JPEG or TIFF format suitable for web or print use
- Note: The photographer needs to be available in the same geographical location as the Organization or be willing to travel at own expense
Additional details
Ideally, we would like to capture the participants engaging in our Piko Pals (12-week new parent support program) and/or our Cribs for Kids program (safe sleep education for low-income, high-risk families), as well as our MothersCare maternal counseling services.
It is easy for us to schedule the location and the attendees to be photographed, and we would love to build our library to showcase the types of services we offer, so that we can attract more families to participate.
What we have in place
- We currently have program participants and signed release forms, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a helpful staff, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,048 , allowing us to sponsor 25 families with scholarships to join our Piko Pals new parent support groups.
The success of our organization depends on being able to effectively convey our mission. Photos do it! Without your help, we cannot reach the families we most want to serve with our programs. Your skills will empower us to show how our programs are welcoming and fun for new parents.

Our mission
We are a local nonprofit agency that is committed to improving Hawaii's maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development.
What we do
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaii is committed to ensuring women and families receive access to resources and information before, during and after pregnancy. We provide programs, direct resources, and access to services that help Hawaii's women achieve a healthy, safe pregnancy and nurture a healthy baby.
Annually, we reach over 10,000 women and families through our MothersCare phone line, our online resource directory, our Text4Baby health text messaging service and our direct services. We also serve families through our Piko Pals 12-week new parent support program, our Cribs for Kids program for high-risk families, and our maternal counseling services.
We have been operating statewide in Hawaii for over 25 years and have strong partnerships throughout the public and private sectors.
