Project details

What we need
  • Tightly-written web copy of up to to eight pages of 200-300 words each
  • The opportunity to work closely with an experienced, SEO literate copywriter
What we have in place
  • We currently have a #LoveTheBob landing page: http://www.bmwf.org/lovethebob/

Content will go on our Dispatches page and our Stories page.

Then, articles will be shared on social media, to be clicked through and have traffic route back to our website to increase SEO.

Currently, we already have body of online work for a copy writer to mirror. We have a Twitter account with 3500 followers, a Facebook page with 8K 'likes' and a strong Instagram presence too. Very interested in having these articles shared with press for print publications as well.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,073 , allowing us to fund direct program services in the Bob Marshall Wilderness one of the world's most intact ecosystems For example it takes $2500 to fund a 10-person volunteer team in the Wilderness.

Like every non-profit, storytelling is a critical part of our operation. Without inspiring content, we cannot communicate what we do and therefore cannot fully utilize or impress our current or future donors. This project will help increase donors and further our wilderness efforts. Hypothetical blog posts include:
-All hail the Middle Fork! Inspiration for the Wild & Scenic River Act
-Wilderness is Year-Round: Exploring the Bob in the Off-Season
-10 People, 2 weeks, 1 Saw: a volunteer's diary from Holland Lake
-Five Reasons To Volunteer for The Bob
-Who is Bob Marshall and why does he matter to Wilderness? etc

Our mission

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation connects Americans with their wilderness heritage by providing access to and stewardship of one of the world's most spectacular places -Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. We help hundreds of hard-working volunteers, including youth, develop a land ethic and give back to the wilderness by opening trails, restoring heavily used areas, maintaining historic structures and fighting weeds.

What we do

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation:
* Provides conservation stewardship for the crown jewel of American Wilderness - the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex
* Engages youth and adults in life changing back country experiences
* Helps keep open 1700 miles of trail to quite places
* Ensures that future generations will continue to have access to 'The Bob'
* Helps keep the wilderness wild and preserve habitat for the lower 48's largest elk heard by fighting invasive species
* Is raising the next generation of Wilderness stewards through internships and apprenticeships that teach traditional skills and set career paths
* Is a non-profit, tax deductible 501(c)3 organization dependent on donations
