What we'd like to talk about
Choosing a platform, simplifying our look, message and pages, improving visitor experience and interaction.
Additional context
While our website does (in theory) give a good picture of who we are and what we do, it has grown like Topsy over the years. As a result, we have too many pages and too much text. It does not maximize the potential impact of our visuals or inspire the kind of public engagement or donor attention we think it should. We seek interactivity as both an educational platform and a portal for supporting Foundation interest as well as donations and participation.
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.
Our mission
Making historic preservation affordable and contributing to the general economic, social and ecological well-being of the community.
What we do
We are an open circle of thoughtful cultural and multicultural activists--some young, some seasoned--Black, White, Latino and more. For us, Historic Preservation is creative, futuristic work. We are not out to freeze the past but to model people-centered "placemaking" as a path to green, sustainable, culturally and economically diverse housing and neighborhood improvement, fostering jobs creation, quality of life, environmental justice and economic reinvestment in post-industrial communities like our own.
Testimonials
Justin is a good listener, had a quick grasp of our needs, and was very generous with his time. We are now exploring contracting with him.
