Website Visual Design
Website Visual Design
Project details
What we need
- A visual redo of the Organization's website
- Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
- Mock-ups of key site pages
- Commitment to 2 phone calls with a developer to guide initial front-end coding work
- Note: We recommend this project for custom websites. If your site is built on a CMS platform like Wordpress or Squarespace that offers templates, you may not need this project. Check out our Website Content Plan project for help building a CMS-based website
What we have in place
- We currently have an outline for our vision of a web redesign as well as a set of "wish list" items, which should make it easy to get started. Our current platform is Wordpress, and we have plenty of content (written and visual) that is ready to be plugged into a new design, as well as at least one staff member to aid the process.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,426 , allowing us to even consider pursuing this goal. Without you we wouldn't have the funds, period!
We have heard from a variety of constituents that while the content of our website is good, the design appears old or out of date. This project will allow our program to make a better impression on visitors to our site, whether they be potential donors or participants, making them more likely to want to be involved. This is especially important as we work to expand our organizational presence through marketing efforts.
Project plan
Our mission
Project STEP (String Training Education Program) recognizes that certain racial and ethnic minorities are vastly underrepresented in classical music.
Our mission is to address this imbalance by identifying musically talented children from underrepresented Boston and surrounding communities, providing them with comprehensive music and string instrument instruction. We set the highest standards for our students, provide mentoring and performance opportunities, and create a network of support for our students, their families, and their communities.
What we do
Project STEP provides the following for its participants:
-Weekly private lessons
-Weekly class instruction in music theory and solfège
-Two master classes each season taught by established artists
-Chamber music coaching
-Student recitals
-Orchestral music coaching
-Opportunity to attend numerous performances each year by established artists and ensembles
-Summer music study
-Parent Council with monthly meetings
-Continuing guidance into the conservatory / university level and beyond
-Low-interest loans available for the purchase of musical instruments after graduation

Each individual that I have had the pleasure of speaking with at Project STEP has been outstanding. You can easily tell how passionate they are about what their organization does. I’m happy to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of people.
