Project details

What we need
  • Creation of an E-Newsletter from scratch, or an overhaul of an existing one
  • Training on how to input content into a template
What we have in place
  • We already have a brand messaging brief outlining our language, color guide, and fonts. We use NationBuilder and currently have template that you can build off of.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to subsidize leadership training costs and fees for our growing number of volunteers.

Like every non-profit, storytelling is a critical part of our operation. Without stories, we cannot communicate what we do and therefore cannot fully utilize our growing list of supporters. This project will overhaul 350Vermont's existing email newsletter template and help us create a visually compelling template to communicate our work effectively.

Project plan

P
Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager distributes key information to Professional, including purpose of the E-Newsletter, target audience, and existing E-Newsletter distribution practices (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager distributes all relevant materials such as logo, images, organizational history, brand messaging, and visual brand identity
1
Milestone 1: Analysis and Recommendations
  • Professional provides initial suggestions, including a suggested e-newsletter format and web-host (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor)
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback and shares content for the newsletter including photos, hyperlinks, and/or articles
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss timeline for creation and align expectations
2
Milestone 2: Draft E-Newsletter
  • Professional delivers first draft
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback, which is incorporated
3
Milestone 3: Wrap-up and Learning
  • Professional delivers final draft
  • Professional trains selected staff member on how to use the template for future newsletters
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager determine frequency of newsletters based on existing best practices, bandwidth and ability to source new content

Our mission

350VT is building a people-powered and people-led climate justice movement in Vermont for a just, thriving world.

We are guided by the voices, experiences, and solutions of those most impacted by the global climate crisis. We strive to work at the intersections of the climate crisis and social justice to address the climate crisis equitably and effectively.

We are building collective power for climate justice.

What we do

We are building a movement in Vermont for a Just Transition away from fossil and carbon-based fuels, toward regenerative and just energy systems, economy, and culture. Our Just Transition campaign is our main focus right now.

Some other major parts of our work have been resisting fracked gas and tar sands pipelines, divestment, the Climate Strikes and other major mobilizations, and climate justice trainings.

Testimonials

Pete was great to work with. We don't have the usual email template set up but he was able to work with what we have an create a product that was beautiful and easy-to-use. Additionally, he supported our organization by making a how-to sheet that was easy for all of us on staff to learn how to use our new template design - thanks Pete!
