Project details
What we need
- Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
- Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details
We're hoping to have a native Spanish speaker or very fluent Spanish speaker translate these materials. Bonus points if you know how to create SRT files, as this translation project is for videos.
What we have in place
- This is a super fun and rewarding project. The text is not written, rather it's video interview of partner farmers in Belize. The videos are in Spanish and are all available online. You'll love watching these videos and learning about the inspiring farmers who work with us. We have a staff person committed to helping this project excel.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,098 , allowing us to help more farmers fight climate change and improve their lives through sustainable farming.
The success of our organization depends on being able to tell the stories of farmers. Without your help, we cannot translate their stories. Your skills will empower us to share impactful stories about climate change.
Project plan
Our mission
We preserve the environment by partnering with families to improve well-being through sustainable farming.
What we do
In Central America, inadequate farming practices cause devastating poverty and deforestation. The harmful cycle of slash-and-burn farming not only destroys tropical forests but does not produce enough to meet the basic needs of a farmer's family.
Sustainable Harvest International helps people + the planet.
With generous support from donors, we've worked with families in rural farming communities in Central America since 1997. Using organic vegetable gardens, wood-conserving stoves, seed saving and a host of other projects, our local field trainers work together with families, individuals and communities to preserve our planet's tropical forests while overcoming poverty. Our five-phase approach to solving the agricultural, ecological and economic problems of Central America is innovative, hands-on, and long-term.
Testimonials
Marta was a fantastic translator. Not only did she translate several videos for us, she created SRT files from the translations. Very timely and professional.
