Employee Handbook
Project details
What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
- We currently have an employee manual that needs updating, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an Executive Director who is commited to making this happen, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,955 , allowing us to to train 50 citizen scientists to help us monitor the effects of climate change on the American pika.
Several years ago we moved from a physical office to become a remote workforce. We have never updated our Employee Manual to reflect this change, so many of our policies are out of date. We have a very dedicated and competent staff, and I want to do everything I can to retain them. Having written procedures and policies that can be applied uniformly is a key to that retention.

What we do
Our region has over 500 rare and imperiled plant and animal species. We protect the biodiversity of the southern Rockies by making sure that these species have habitat and room to roam.
