This project will save us $10,948 , allowing us to allowing us to put those funds into our programs that currently support 33 environmental organizations in the region..

What We Need

  • A written analysis of the Organization's position in the community it serves and its ability to address identified needs/problems for its beneficiaries
  • A summary of the Organization's strengths and weaknesses related to its program goals
  • A summary of competitors or potential collaborators
  • An appendix of all data gathered to perform analysis, including sources

How This Will Help

We don't know who our market is! We get donations but we're not really sure who these people are. They seem to be all over the map. We would like to get information about the type of people currently giving, and find out who we should target to start giving.

What We Have In Place

We currently have a database of past donors which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a knowledgable development director and the ability to provide any other information you need.

Fun Fact

We don't have a boss! We are a Collective, meaning each member of the Collective has an equal vote and we use a consensus method for making decisions in our organization. The Collective currently has 4 members and we are all women!

    • Volunteer Manager delivers all available data on customer/beneficiary base
  • Milestone 1: Market Size and Growth
    • Professional works with Volunteer Manager to identify the target customer/beneficiary
    • Professional outlines total addressable market based on current “sales” and 3rd party sources to gather potential market numbers
    • Based on current trends, Professional forecasts market growth rate
  • Milestone 2: Market Segmentation
    • Professional segments target addressable market based on most relevant factors, i.e. geographic, psychographic, behavioristic, etc.
  • Milestone 3: Competitive Analysis
    • Professional identifies all potential competitors
    • Professional outlines strengths and weaknesses of all competitors as compared to Organization
  • Milestone 4: Presentation of Findings
    • Professional delivers document outlining all findings
    • Q&A session

  • Ability to conduct research and in-depth data analysis, particularly business and market research
  • Excellent writing and communications skills

Our Mission

Trees Foundation’s mission is to restore the ecological integrity of California’s North Coast by empowering and assisting regional community-based conservation and restoration projects.

What We Do

Trees Foundation currently supports 33 visionary grassroots environmental organizations whose work spans from the Bay Area all the way into southern Oregon. We support our Partners in Conservation and Restoration through the following programs: Fiscal Sponsorship Program: provides 501c(3) non-profit status and operational support to numerous budding organizations Professional Support: GIS, graphic design, fundraising and budgeting Donor Advised Grants: has awarded over $1 million in regional grants; Forest & River News: quarterly publication providing conservation news to the public, grassroots organizations, and activists to educate and share advocacy, restoration models, and lessons learned.
