Project details
What we need
- Assessment and recommendations for income-generating activities that will complement the Organization's current mission and existing programs
- Actionable steps necessary to implement recommendations, alongside estimates of upfront time and monetary investment required
- Challenges and potential risks identified in pursuing the plan
What we have in place
- You will be working directly with the Executive Director to ensure that the vision of this project is realized with the mission and vision of the organization in mind. Much research has been done on our end to know about the nonprofit microlending world.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,794 , allowing us to redirect those funds towards the community activities in which we are engaged.
We are looking to become nonprofit microlenders. We need a plan to grab the interest of investors and donors so that we can raise the funds necessary to give the loans. The interest on these loans will provide revenue to support the community development projects in which we engage throughout the Afrikan Diaspora. The loans will also help realize our economic development mission by assisting small businesses and startups empower communities through cooperative economics.

Our mission
To foster a sense of togetherness across the Afrikan Diaspora through cultural, educational, and economic collaboration.
What we do
Afrikan Unity Initiative, Inc. is an organization catered toward creating a better world for Afrikans and all people through interactive service and education. We are called an initiative because the word exemplifies proactiveness, which is a necessity when fighting injustice. Our model of empowering people to be the leaders they seek is attributed to the Great Fundi Ella Baker and her participatory democracy methodology. All of our initiatives are designed to work in any place around the globe in order for the organization to help people of Afrikan descent wherever they may be in the Diaspora.
