Project details

What we need
  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
What we have in place
  • We currently have prior appeal letters and marketing collateral, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have open minds and a lot of gratitude for our volunteers!, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,140 , allowing us to direct resources to our on-the-ground efforts in our three key cities - Boston, LA and the Bay Area.

Project Giving Kids (PGK) is at a critical growth stage, looking to move from a successful pilot to a nonprofit ready to scale. As a "middle-man platform," we occupy a unique space within the nonprofit sector, one that carries with it unique challenges, as well as opportunities. An effective year-end appeal to our active donor base is a important piece to moving the organization forward in the new year.

Our mission

Project Giving Kids is a 501 (c)(3) public charity that uses technology to Connect Kids to Causes. The goal: to cultivate empathy in young children by connecting them to age-appropriate service opportunities at a critical time in their development and to strengthen the overall capacity of the nonprofit sector by uniting existing nonprofits with new volunteers and donors. Project Giving Kids (PGK) does this through an easy-to-navigate online platform designed for kids. Ultimately, PGK aims to become the go-to resource for kids (and those who love kids) looking to give back. By taking the time to partner with quality nonprofits providing fun opportunities to make a difference, Project Giving Kids take the guesswork out of the equation and provides great ideas that allow kids to begin the giving journey, anytime and anywhere.
