Print Materials Design

This project will save us $3,750, allowing us to provide Intervention and Prevention Training to Outreach Workers in communities impacted by gang and interpersonal violence.

What We Need

  • Designs for a pre-determined number of marketing or communications materials (examples: one-pager/fact sheets, case studies, fundraising collateral, event invitations, annual reports, and pamphlets).
  • Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
  • Note: This project does not include printing

The success of our organization depends on The ability to bring in various funding streams. Without your help, we cannot Continue the work with the increase in demand for service. Your skills will empower us to Continue to assist in peace efforts locally and globally.

What We Have In Place

We currently have a fully developed website and wealth of information at hand which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have templates from previous LOI submissions, media, active facebook pages and the ability to provide any other information you need.

The BUILD Program is a grassroots organization that has grown into a much more refined and professional agency since our humble beginnings Our team members are on-the-ground everyday in the most violent prone communities throughout Los Angeles. Our network of Interventionists spans as far as Canada Geneva and El Salvador.

Project Steps

  • Prep: Distribution of prep materials
    • Volunteer Manager provides the Professional with a budget for print materials, finalized copy, high-resolution logo, and any visual branding guidelines to be utilized
    • Volunteer Manager also provides images for desired deliverables (if applicable), examples of existing marketing materials and links to online presence (website and social media)
    • Volunteer Manager shares Brand Messaging guidelines (if applicable)
  • Milestone 1: Preliminary concepts
    • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss how print materials will be utilized, target audience, and style preferences
    • Professional develops preliminary sketches, and garners feedback from Volunteer Manager
  • Milestone 2: Graphic creation
    • Professional drafts print materials, and incorporates any feedback until final product
  • Milestone 3: Final draft
    • Professional delivers the final versions in the desired electronic format
    • Professional provides guidance on printing specifications (colors, size, etc.)
Prerequisites for Professional
  • Excellent graphic design skills
  • Proficiency with design software such as Adobe's creative suite
  • Working knowledge of standard printing specifications
  • Portfolio examples you can share
Prerequisites for Organization
  • Finalized copy to include in the materials
  • A high-resolution logo and branding guidelines
  • Budget to produce printed materials
