What we need
- A Public Relations (PR) strategy rooted in the Organization's public relations goals
- Identification of the audiences Organization should be addressing and the media outlets they should target to reach stated audiences
- A press list created based on Organization's target media outlets
- Recommendations on the best tactics to build relationships with Organization's target media outlets
What we have in place
- We are working on brand messaging brief outlining our language to be used . We have a Twitter account with 16 followers, and a Facebook page with
369 'likes'. We also have a small list of press contacts.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,343 , allowing us to We estimate it would cost $5000 to hire a professional to complete this project on the open market and we appreciate the help.
Like every non-profit, storytelling is a critical part of our operation. Without stories, we cannot communicate what we do and therefore cannot fully utilize or impress our current or future donors. This project will help increase donors and further our hunger and poverty alleviation efforts in rural Uganda.

Our mission
We support HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children and their caregivers with basic healthcare in rural Uganda.
What we do
GLO has four core programs which include:
- Bi annual Medical camps held in the remote area of Masindi District serving nearly 4,000 patients with prevention education and services such as vaccinations for different diseases, family planning, screening and treatment for general diseases, epilepsy clinics, dental services, cervical cancer screening, eye care, voluntary counseling and testing for HIV, antenatal care, nutritional counseling and vitamin-A supplementation.
- Community health worker program: GLO recruits, trains and supports CHW's who find patients who live in hard to reach areas and then link them to our care programs.
-Epilepsy intervention: We support children and adults who have been affected by the epileptic epidemic with education, counseling, treatment, and basic psychosocial care
- Medical clinic: GLO will operate its Medical clinic by Using a comprehensive, community-based approach through our local community health workers who will focus on improving the interface between the community and the health systems, provide ambulatory primary care, foster maternal, newborn, and child health, reproductive health, family planning, sanitation and hygiene initiatives, and controlling malaria, TB, HIV, and other childhood illnesses across all life cycles in a coordinated manner at all levels of care.
