Brand Messaging
Brand Messaging
Project details
What we need
- Document that articulates in a consistent voice key messages about the Organization’s identity, constituents, mission, and vision
- Creation of taglines and talking points to help the Organization communicate clearly and concisely
- Recommendations on tailoring messaging for common communication channels (e.g., website copy, printed marketing collateral, pitching verbally)
Additional details
Suggestions on how to most efficiently attract major donors ($100K+) for our cause.
What we have in place
- My non-profit is on Twitter (~4700 followers). For our Travel/Study Abroad Strategic Focus Area (SFA), we have an active affiliated FB page with ~3025 followers. For our Women’s Empowerment SFA, we have a dormant affiliated FB page with ~2125 followers and a dormant podcast on iTunes. I have 1875 LinkedIn connections, write several blogs, and contribute to Huffington Post U.S. and U.K. For mailing lists, we have a current donor list of 138 persons (largest single donation - $5000), a list of 768 for Women’s Empowerment and a list of 896 for travel/study abroad.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,600 , allowing us to cover the cost of several virtual support services for an entire year.
We’ve had a phenomenal first year of activity that has already changed lives and we’re building on the success of our programs this year. Where we are “behind” is in creating the infrastructure that will support this success. We need to find donors and board members who are passionate about our work and are willing and able to make multi-five-figure and six-figure donations to our organization. We need a clear, concise, and powerful message to support this goal.
Project plan
Our mission
The Wells International Foundation (WIF) is a U. S. non-profit organization whose mission is to empower individuals – especially women and persons of African descent – by exposing them to educational and cultural opportunities that allow them to experience a richer, more fulfilling life.
Testimonials
Will provided conscientious and thorough service for this project. He shared resources and critiqued several of our communications documents and postings to give us specific feedback and suggestions for improvement. Because of his work, we now have a baseline document that will serve as an SOP for interns and others who will work on communications for our organization.
