Project details
What we need
- Feedback on the current website’s layout, user functionality, mobile-friendliness, visual design, content, and other key features
- Clear articulation of the Organization’s goals for the website
- Recommendations for improvements to help achieve the Organization’s desired goals
- Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
What we have in place
- We currently have Google analytics set up, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a brief outline of our goals and objectives, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,767 , allowing us to put those funds towards future research that may lead to alternative treatments and longer lives for scleroderma patients.
The Scleroderma Education Project™ (SEP) was started in 1995 before the internet boom and it was meant to be purely educational. Now that the internet is one of the primary sources of information about rare diseases like scleroderma, websites like the SEP are critical sources of information. We want to update sclerodermainfo.org to make it easier to navigate and more relevant for the target audiences. We also want to use it as a fundraising vehicle in the near future.
Project plan
Our mission
Our primary goal is to provide comprehensive, up-to-date, research-based information on systemic scleroderma diagnosis and treatments. We believe that patients who are educated about their disease can work more effectively with their team of physicians to make the best possible individual care decisions.
We are also focused on research to test a novel disease pathogenesis model that we originally proposed in 1993. If this disease model turns out to be correct, it is likely to lead to new treatments for systemic scleroderma that are more effective and much safer than current, largely ineffective, treatments that are currently being used.
