What we need
  • An Excel spreadsheet custom-built specifically for the Organization's finances
  • Training on how to use the spreadsheet to understand the current financial situation and predict future states (e.g., plan for budget increases or decreases, hiring, and other key drivers)
What we have in place
  • We currently have our accounting done on Quickbooks, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have spreadsheets, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $14,474 , allowing us to make decisions on our path forward after losing a lot of funding.

We have an urgent need for a Excel expert to help us with budgeting, forecasting and being able to answer "What If" questions. Our funding is being cut and we need to try out different budgets to see how we go forward. Must be able to link various spreadsheets and have formulas go over so Executive Director can try out different scenarios.

  • Professional analyzes current accounting system, and recommends improvements to data gathering, reporting, or implementation of new bookkeeping software
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback which Professional incorporates

Our mission

Create healthy farm-based community with homeless families, people with disabilities and youth.

What we do

We are a community of over 700 people on 4 campuses on Oahu's west-side in Hawaii. We provide Transitional Housing for homeless families and a Day Program for adults with developmental disabilities. Employment and vocational training on our Organic Farm, Restaurant, Commercial Kitchen and Retreat Center.
