Earned Income Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment and recommendations for income-generating activities that will complement the Organization's current mission and existing programs
- Actionable steps necessary to implement recommendations, alongside estimates of upfront time and monetary investment required
- Challenges and potential risks identified in pursuing the plan
What we have in place
- We have executed our first major fundraiser, completed four direct appeals, recently secured our first significant grant, and have several other applications in to traditional grant funders and accelerator programs. We understand that fundraising is central to what happens next to Project Giving Kids and are committed to executing the right strategy once it is in place!
How this will help
This project will save us $11,794 , allowing us to expand our technology platform for the benefit of 1000 kids & teens who can improve their own lives and those of their communities through such use.
We are at a critical juncture in our development. Having passed through the proof-of-concept stage, we now need to put a revenue strategy together that capitalizes on our unique space within the nonprofit sector, while recognizing our short-term fundraising strategy may differ considerably from our long-term strategy as a technology platform that has the potential for monetization. As a non-traditional nonprofit, we need a non-traditional fundraising plan, and our growth/expansion hinge on our ability to come up with and execute one quickly.

Our mission
Project Giving Kids is a 501 (c)(3) public charity that uses technology to Connect Kids to Causes. The goal: to cultivate empathy in young children by connecting them to age-appropriate service opportunities at a critical time in their development and to strengthen the overall capacity of the nonprofit sector by uniting existing nonprofits with new volunteers and donors. Project Giving Kids (PGK) does this through an easy-to-navigate online platform designed for kids. Ultimately, PGK aims to become the go-to resource for kids (and those who love kids) looking to give back. By taking the time to partner with quality nonprofits providing fun opportunities to make a difference, Project Giving Kids take the guesswork out of the equation and provides great ideas that allow kids to begin the giving journey, anytime and anywhere.
