What we need
  • An Excel spreadsheet custom-built specifically for the Organization's finances
  • Training on how to use the spreadsheet to understand the current financial situation and predict future states (e.g., plan for budget increases or decreases, hiring, and other key drivers)
What we have in place
  • We currently have a simple operating budget, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have additional financial histories and personnel for this project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $14,474 , allowing us to to provide housing for 5 adult women survivors of human trafficking.

The success of our organization depends on the ability to make clear, confident financial decisions. Without your help, we cannot effectively plan for financial growth. Your skills will empower us to develop a well-executed financical plan.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with current accounting needs and practices, chart of accounts or operating budget, and financial statements currently being generated (e.g,. statement of financial position, statement of activities, or statement of cash flows)
  • Optional: If you are concerned about the sensitive nature of your financial data, have a volunteer sign a non-disclosure agreement

Milestone 1: Analysis & Recommendations
  • Professional analyzes current accounting system, and recommends improvements to data gathering, reporting, or implementation of new bookkeeping software
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback which Professional incorporates

Our mission

We believe that love transforms. It is our mission to create a safe place for survivors of human trafficking to rediscover their dignity and rewrite the stories of their lives.

What we do

Monarch Wings is a 501(c)(3), Non-Profit organization to provide:
1. A residential safe house with a 24-month program that provides rent-free housing, individualized case management and a comprehensive restorative program focused on physical, mental and economic transformation for adult women survivors of trafficking.

2. Awareness events and outreaches to inform the public about trafficking occurring in their local communities and how they can combat it and support survivors.
