What we need
  • Ongoing marketing strategy support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: defining your marketing goals, determining the right marketing channels, messaging your program, branding, or defining your target audience
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.

[DEVT101] The Corporate Partnership Development Team Senior Lead provides leadership, direction and identifies companies of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM to grow engagement within under-served communities, as well as with companies and colleges/universities within NJ. Your leadership will directly impact the growth and sustainability of our non-profit organization. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a CRM (a tracking system) to reach out companies, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have team lead that will train you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to expand outreach, enhance programs, and serve our community more effectively, fostering lasting positive change.

You'll drive engagement with businesses, securing sponsorships and donations to fund STEM education for underrepresented middle school girls in NJ. Partner with companies for innovative after-school projects, fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and self-esteem. Your involvement bridges educational gaps, making STEM accessible. Join us in empowering the next generation.

  • Volunteer delivers ongoing support according to determined outline
  • Weekly check-ins to ensure support is being offered as agreed upon by both parties

  • Volunteer provides any relevant training to the Volunteer Manager to help them continue work, as necessary, after 4 weeks

JerseySTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math ("STEM") education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities

We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities.

Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online afterschool projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.

What we do

Reduce the gender gap in STEM participation;

Bridge the innovation gap in STEM education by introducing novel formats for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math;

Address the opportunity gap by expanding access to STEM programs in underserved communities.
