Board Responsibilities & Structure

Project details

What we need
  • Document outlining relationship of board to your organization, including its role, responsibilities, and structure
  • Document defining the roles and responsibilities of individual board members, including empty seats if applicable
Additional details

Hi. I am looking for training for our non-profit, Out Montclair, located in Montclair, NJ serving the LGBTQ+ community. I am a co-founder and the Board Chairperson. We are 3 years young. We have lost some core/original members of the Board for various reasons, but have added 4 new people recently. The objective is to equip all of our members with training and working knowledge of how a non-profit board works and communicates with the ED, a Managing Dir, other board members and volunteers.

What we have in place
  • We currently have very little resources, have some meeting space, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have A copy of our bylaws, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to get much needed training that we do not have operating cash to cover.

We have 12 board members who are committed to working to make our organization stronger. We are going through transition, as our Executive Director has relocated to another state and we planning to fill that position from within. .
