What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

SciTech2U has many policies for employees and the organization as a whole in one document. We would like to compile all the policies and procedures into a handbook as well as separate any policy that does not belong in the handbook.

We would also like to add any additional policies that is required of us as a youth serving organization.

We do have some information that can help guide us through the process that I can share.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Policies in a word document., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have additional document we can pull from., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to Most of the support we get does not support staff. This saving will allow us to use our unrestricted funds to support a staff members the provides service directly to our youths.

We have been around for 12 years and on the brink of building our capacity. An employee handbook is a must have for SciTech2U as we brace ourselves to hire the second employee beside the CEO.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with existing Employee Handbook (if applicable), internal communications regarding employment policies and any other employment policies in place that may not be clearly communicated
Milestone 1: Audit of Existing Policies
  • Professional reviews existing materials, and asks any clarifying questions
  • Professional identifies any existing policies that should be modified
  • Professional identifies any new policies or areas that should be addressed and included
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback
Milestone 2: Outline of Handbook
  • Professional drafts a detailed outline
  • Professional incorporates Volunteer Manager’s feedback
Milestone 3: Writing & Delivery of Handbook
  • Professional drafts the Employee Handbook
  • Volunteer Manager provides any additional feedback
