What we need
  • High-resolution logo delivered in vector (.ai, .svg, .eps) and raster (.png, .jpg, .tiff) file formats for digital and print use.
Additional details

We need help refreshing our logo, especially by capitalizing the E in Earth (Earth Law Center), and possibly a bit more. I don't think we need an entirely new logo, although we'd be open to a discussion.

What we have in place
  • We currently have our previous logo (vector files, etc.), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a team ready to work with you and review designs, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to support rights of nature in Latin American countries through grassroots efforts

Our logo is about 7 years old and needs a refresh! In particular, we think the lowercase "E" in Earth is problematic because we believe the Earth has rights and should be respected with capitalization, plus it's the common usage. We are interested in other ways to refresh the logo, too.

  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional examples of logos, brands, and design elements preferred, and links to website and social media pages

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the branding goals, target audience, and preferred design elements
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a style concept
  • Professional creates up to 6 thumbnail sketches of rough ideas for client to review

Milestone 2: Logo Design
  • Volunteer Manager selects 3 of the design options and provides feedback
  • Professional takes sketches and creates up to 3 digital drafts for the logo design based on feedback, and shares with the Volunteer Manager for more feedback
  • Volunteer Manager selects 1 of the design options and provides feedback

Milestone 3: Final Design and Handoff
  • Based on feedback, professional creates the final logo design, and iterates upon the design for final delivery, including versions of the logo for different uses (e.g., black & white, full color, and formats for print and digital use)
  • Professional delivers the final version of the logo including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)

Our mission

Earth Law Center catalyzes a global movement to rebalance the human-Nature relationship.

We do this by working to make ELC a household name, expanding the body of Earth Law, and providing tools for judges and lawyers to analyze in decisions affecting the natural environment.

What we do

Our continued well being depends on a paradigm shift in law from a human based one to a nature based one so ecological communities can regenerate and thrive.

This includes a wide range of activities from researching and writing part of an amendment being considered by the Oaxaca Parliament for rights of rivers, to Amicus Briefs (12+ submitted since 2018). This includes the first Earth Law textbook in the world, published by Wolters Kluwer as well as Earth Law frameworks for rivers, marine protected areas and communities.

Catchafire volunteers form a core part of ELC's volunteer leaders, and we've completed over 100+ projects. So thank you Catchafire!!!
