What we need
- A new presentation, or update to an existing presentation in Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Prezi, or another presentation software
- Best practices and tactics for structuring an effective presentation
Additional details
Need a volunteer with experience creating eye catchy educational presentations. The presentation is for a workshop with a group of immigrant women, aimed at empowering them and hence helping prevent domestic abuse.
The presentation can be made on PowerPoint, google slides or Prezi. Also open to any new platform that can be effective.
What we have in place
- We currently have a plain presentation with just the content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff member that can provide feeback, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to invest more on the execution of the workshops and getting experts from the industry.
Being from a culture where women's core role is being of a nurturer, immigrant women ignore their needs, dreams and focus on the family's survival and aim to thrive in the new country, with little resources to help them. A lot of times, while they focus on their family, their own situation in a new country becomes such that they are dependent on others for their every need. This becomes a pre-cursor for domestic abuse. Our project aims to connect women with resources to empower themselves.
