What we need
- A document outlining the most appropriate social media channels, strategies for usage, goals and key metrics to evaluate success
- Expert consultation on messaging, scheduling and frequency
- Tailored suggestions for style, tone, and types of content to best showcase the Organization
What we have in place
- YONECO has a website, Youtube account, twitter accounts (three), Instagram account and three Facebook accounts (Main YONECO Facebook, Helpline Facebook and YFM Facebook) where the volunteer will start from. YONECO has also trained its staff in collecting stories. However, updating and ensuring that the social media activities are working is a challenge because lack of non availability of a coordinated social media plan. The project will therefore help us to develop a coordinated social media plan that will ensure that our social media is utilised, updated and always current. The project will reach to youth, women and children eventually
How this will help
This project will save us $6,632 , allowing us to support 3 sexual and reproductive health providers serving about 30000 young people.
YONECO like any other organisation, view communication and reaching out to its audience as critical. YONECO reaches out to various groups using social media and therefore without communication, YONECO cannot fully utilize its current and future supporters. YONECO considers its supporters to include the donors, government, youth and private companies. The project will therefore help us to reach more youth, women and children using social media while also communicating to our donors - current and future on the work that YONECO is doing. This will help to increase donor support and further our children protection support activities.

Creates awareness to youth, women and children on various issues affecting their growth and development
Provides shelter to street children, survivors of gender based violence and other people rendered destitute
Support areas of trafficking and mitigates the impact of the same
Provides counselling services (on line and face to face for various social groups
