Project details

What we need
  • Detailed comments and suggestions based on a thorough review of an existing fundraising plan (20 pages maximum)
  • Feedback on goals and help adjusting targets
Additional details

We are launching a crowdfunding campaign to restore a historic church [1919] into a modern community center in Detroit. We desire help surrounding our approach, copywriting, and executing our campaign! Help us turn our vision into reality and transform our community.

What we have in place
  • We currently have some buzz and media, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated Slack Channel to make collaboration seamless, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,044 , allowing us to reinvest in our project and regular out-of-school-time programming.

This project is essential because it is the culmination of 3 1/2 years of focus groups, surveys, and planning with our community. It is a youth-centric, community-led initiative and seeks to drive equity, economic development, and wellness via the arts.

Our mission

CLASS ACT DETROIT equips underserved scholars with the resources needed to revolutionize their lives and community via the arts, entrepreneurship, technology, and leadership.

We are on a mission to produce programs that combat 'classroom colonialism' and aid, not hinder, scholars in our nation's urban core. Our priorities are children, working families, and developing more equitable neighborhoods.

What we do

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that utilizes the elements of hip-hop to reach and teach adolescents in Detroit.

Young aspiring creatives demand contemporary training and direct instruction with an edge. Class Act Detroit renders that solution by pairing students with an art-based enrichment program that is culturally relevant and lead by industry professionals.

As such, student exploration, empowerment, and agency are integral components of our program.
