What we need
- A proof-of-concept iOS app prototype (compatible with iPhone, iPad)
- Documentation of the functionality and how users will use the new app

Consultation on how to publish and maintain the app, as well as resources for finding assistance moving forward

Note: The Mobile app will be a functional prototype but will not be production ready with full user experience (i.e. visual design, animation, etc). Here are some examples of mobile app prototypes: Safe Eats, SF Trees.
What we have in place
There are existing apps that scan a vehicles VIN for model and make. There is a database of models and makes that are considered LEFE. We've got demand for this app through our Green Garage Certification. We would love to develop an app that would help sites meet this requirement. We intend to share this app freely, at no cost.
How this will help
This project will save us $12,342 , allowing us to enable and inspire 500 parking operations globally.
We've generated great interest in the development of sustainable parking garages and lots through our Green Garage Certification program. We reward sites that charge lower parking prices to cars that are "low-emitting and fuel efficient," like hybrids, electric vehicles, etc. But the feedback we are getting is that there is no easy way for sites to identify which cars fall into this category. This is a solvable problem with a mobile app that matches the vehicle's VIN bar code (on the door jamb) with an existing database of LEFE vehicles.
