Project details

What we need
  • A new pitch deck, or update of an existing pitch deck
  • Template for future pitch deck creation
  • Best practices and tactics for structuring an effective pitch
What we have in place
  • We currently have a number of photos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a committed staff person, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to help fund our 5 congressional fellowships.

A pitch deck will allow us to tell our story far more effectively with our chief stakeholders and current and future donors. We have several programs that are most easily portrayed through photographs, making a pitch deck an important tool. This project will help increase the number of donors, the engagement of new women Members of Congress, and further our work to bring women policymakers together to work across party lines on issues of importance to women and their families.

Our mission

Women's Policy, Inc. is a nonpartisan, nonprofit public policy organization that brings women policymakers together to work across party lines.

What we do

WPI has five key programs:

Legislative Education – WPI serves as a resource for the women Members of Congress and their staff, as well as other congressional offices and the public, on women’s issues in Congress and the history of the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues. WPI sponsors monthly meetings and receptions each year open only to women Members of Congress in an effort to strengthen the Caucus.

Congressional Staff Briefings -- WPI hosts congressional staff briefings on key women’s issues most months Congress is in session, with three briefing series: women’s health, international issues, and 21st century workforce issues. Recent briefings have focused on global and domestic women’s issues: women’s preventive health; HIV/AIDS and women in the developing world; reducing maternal mortality and improving maternal/child health; women in science, technology, engineering, and math; the gender wage gap; economic security for women and families; domestic violence; and women in the military/veterans.

Weekly News Report -- WPI publishes a weekly online news report, free to the public, which reports on legislative actions affecting women and their families.

Meet and Greets – WPI holds regular meet and greets with corporate and labor representatives, nonprofit and foundation staff, and Members of Congress and their staff.

Fellows Program – Beginning in January, 2014, WPI became the new home for the Congressional Fellows on Women and Public Policy program. The fellowships are extended each year to a select number of graduate students with a proven commitment to equity for women. Fellows gain practical policymaking experience and graduate credit as they work from January to August in congressional offices. Fellows receive stipends for living expenses.
